PIZZA Shackamaxon is a pizza restaurant in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is listed at 115 E Girard Ave #3907, Philadelphia, PA 19125, which places it among the local businesses of Philadelphia that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as pizza takeout, so it may cover more than the name suggests.
In Philadelphia, the busiest hours are Friday and Saturday evenings and any night with a big game, when quoted delivery times can stretch past an hour; ordering before 5 p.m. or picking up yourself avoids the wait. Delivery radiuses are small, often two to five miles, and a minimum order plus a delivery fee is normal, with a tip of a few dollars for the driver on top. Lunch specials such as two slices and a drink, or a personal pie, are the cheapest way to eat at most shops across Pennsylvania on weekdays. Toppings are priced per item and half-and-half pies are usually free to request. Gluten-free crusts and vegan cheese are increasingly common but often cost a few dollars extra, and cross-contact in a shared oven is standard unless the shop says otherwise.
Hours are published for 2 days a week. The most common schedule is 12β9 PM. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach PIZZA Shackamaxon at (215) 693-2983; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, pizzashackamaxon.com.
Customers rate it 4.4 out of 5 on Google across 602 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded pizza restaurants in Philadelphia.
Philadelphia is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Philadelphia is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Pennsylvania's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I was a regular customer here and their pizza is pretty good. However the customer service is awful! On July 10th 2026 I ordered a pepperoni pizza and asked if they could leave like 2 slices plain for my 10 year old daughter. The manager/cashier responds by saying "we can do half and half." I say "I really only need about 2 plain slices." Then the guy making the pizzas "says are u serious bro well u can just buy some plain slices then." I honestly thought he was joking until they served me the pizza and there was only pepperoni on half of it. For a $30 pizza i do not understand what the big deal would have been to just leave a few slices plain? There's another review someone else wrote that said "that to cool to care attitude just doesn't work anymore in this day and age." I agree with that statement that is exsacty how these people are. They're are plenty of other pizza spots with pizza just as good or better that I will be bringing my business to from here on out. Mind u this was the 2nd time in a row I stopped there just that day so obviously I was a good customer.

Great place to swing by for a slice! The staff was friendly and the pizza came out quick! I got the buffalo chicken with hot honey and the house made red pepper flakes! The slice was huge! It came out hot and the crust was crunchy but still had a nice chew and I enjoyed the blue cheese crumbles. The price was very reasonable, food was good, and it was the perfect weather for a slice outside so no issue with outside only seating!

Marinas wouldn't let me pay cash for my order so I ended up at Shackamackas for the first time in 6 months and it has definitely evolved since my last visit. Much more variety in slices and at cheaper prices (buffalo chicken was $5.50). They've also improved the cook on them so they're not exploding into pizza dust as you crunch your way to the crust. I'll be back!

Walk up to the window and order a slice. No indoor shenanigans to sort out, although I wonder how it gets when detriment weather is about. Anyway, pizza was delicious. It was saucy, had a Garlicy crust and was well cooked, it checked all the boxes.

I've been wanting to come here for years, but I'm always getting food elsewhere in the area. Today I changed that. I went with the everything bagel pizza slice special, and a plain to see how their base is. Ordering is solely through a side window, with limited street seating. This is a place to get a slice and go. The special slice was creative, and the food came out pretty quickly. Approximately 5 minutes from ordering of two slices to receiving the food. Both slices were cooked nicely, and tasted pretty good. Neither stood out to me as memorable, but every bite was crunchy and flavorful. I like the little cheese pieces on top, and I finished the crusts of both. I'd probably stop here in the future if I was coming home from a bar, or wanted a quick slice when in the area. I don't drink anymore, and I usually am in the area with intent to eat somewhere already, so I won't likely be back any time soon. It's well worth your time and money, you may love it!
